A stylish dining bench

Good morning!

I hope you all had a lovely weekend.  Mine was very low-key and relaxed.  I was slightly bored at times.  Ryan worked the entire weekend.  It was the first weekend that I didn't have many plans.  I met up with my cousins for lunch on Saturday, shopped for linens (see the post below) and then worked on my budget for work and a few house errands on Sunday.  Very dull.

I started the week off on a good note by working out this morning.  I feel great now!  The sun is shining, it's a warm 23 degrees and my budget is complete.  It's a great day! :)

I found this image below in my archives.  I have no idea where it's from or who designed the room. All I know is how much I love the yellow silk curtains, table and the bench.  The bench caught my attention immediately (even though we can barely see it).  I love the pattern and style of the bench.  It looks incredibly comfortable and very stylish.  I dream of one day having a bench in our kitchen.

A bit of sunny inspiration

It's grey and raining in Toronto todayhe perfect day to go to an afternoon matinee to watch a girlie flick.  Unfortunately, I must work instead.  So to keep me going I found this coastal inspired living room.  I love the scalloped yellow table and the blue and white rug.  It's the perfect shade of blue don't you think?  This might be my new inspiration for our bedroom.

Yellow Mellow

Happy Wednesday!!  Today is an exciting day.  We are meeting with a real estate agent for the first time to discuss looking for and purchasing our first home.  She comes highly recommended by S-I-L Aaren and her S-I-L Jen.  We can't wait to get started on the hunt!  I'll keep you posted on how it goes.

I know I was a little negative about the month of February yesterday.  Today, I changed my attitude.  I woke up, felt rested and had a great workout (my arms hurt!).  I wanted to share my sunny mood with you all so enjoy these images.  I think many of them are a great wayto lift the winter blues out of your home.  Have a great day!
